We're not a franchise. We built this company in the Bluegrass to serve the state of Kentucky — family owned, family oriented, and committed to keeping our clients independent at home.

Our Story

Founded in the Bluegrass.
Built for the Bluegrass.

Independence Assistance is a home care agency providing care for individuals with needs related to aging and disability — in the comfort of their own homes. Founded in 2012 in Lexington, KY, we've spent over a decade helping clients remain independent across Central Kentucky.

In 2026, Independence Assistance relocated its headquarters to Winchester, KY to better serve the state.

We serve rural areas and major metropolitan communities alike — from Lexington and Georgetown to Richmond, Danville, and Nicholasville. Our services range from errands and transportation to dressing, showering, cooking, and household chores. We are dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve peace of mind and keep the life they love.
